Summary: We stayed for a week during house remodeling and thoroughly enjoyed this peaceful and cozy retreat at the end of our chaotic day. We found the unit well stocked and nicer than the pictures suggest - the bedroom was larger than than expected and unit has ample outdoor living space. The unit is situated towards the end of the property avoiding gate entrance and street noise and we appreciated the lower floor as it made dog walking super easy. Owner was extremely responsive and engaging. Walking distance to grocery (with Starbucks) and a short drive to some of the best restaurants and old town La Quinta. Bonus for hikers - many trails at La Quinta Cove and Lake Cahuilla are 10-15 minutes away. Super bonus - the nearest Joshua Tree entrance is 45 minutes.
