This cozy bungalow is only two blocks from the beach and the best surfing spots in Santa Cruz. Pleasure Point is by far the place where you can live-like-a local and kick back and enjoy all that Santa Cruz has to offer! Two bedrooms with oh-so-comfortable new beds, fresh and completely remodeled bathroom, new washer & dryers, new dishwasher, newer fridge. Spacious and dedicated office with adjustable height desk ready for you to work remotely in paradise. Fully fenced front & back yards.

The space
Two bedrooms, full bathroom with shower, half bath with full size washer and dryer. Spacious kitchen, cozy living room with 55" TV and Apple TV for your streaming services. Dedicated office with adjustable height desk and chair, and bookshelf. Inviting front porch for people watching, dog walkers, surfers, and bikers. Back patio perfect for morning coffee to watch the sunrise.

Note: We have not included photos of the back yard space yet as we are still adding furniture and rearranging the space. If you are interested in seeing photos, please inquire and I will post a few.

Guest access
Parking is shared with the guests in the casita. You have two dedicated tandem parking spaces on the left of the driveway.

There is enclosed storage in the back yard for bikes and surfboards.There are four (4) beach chairs and a beach umbrella provided! If storing valuable personal items in the storage area, I recommend that you put a lock on the shed or on the gate. While I have never experienced any problems with theft from the property, I am not responsible for any that is stolen.

There is a dedicated washer/dryer available to use. Please help us conserve energy by not doing laundry during peak hours of 4 PM to 9 PM.

Other things to note
There is a small guest house casita on the back of the property. It is also a 30 day minimum stay rental. There is usually only one guest staying in the casita at a time.

Wi-Fi is provided by Xfinity. The modem/router is located in the kitchen. Please do not relocate or disconnect the Wi-Fi. It is shared between the main house and the casita.

The house has two sources of air conditioning. There is a gas wall heater in the hallway. There are also mini-splits in each room. The mini-splits are electric and can drive the utility bill way high if they are run continuously. Please turn the heat off when you leave the house.

Parking:
The driveway is shared with the casita guest. Please park tandem to the left of the driveway, closest to the bungalow. There is usually open parking in front of the house but this is not guaranteed. Please be respectful of the neighbors when you are parking on the street.

Quiet Hours:
Pleasure Point is a sleepy little neighborhood with families and older long term residents. Please observe quiet hours between 9 PM and 8 AM. Bonus - You can typically hear the ocean from the porch!

Plants/Landscaping/Maintenance:
I provide maintenance on the yard and driveway. I am currently scheduling two hours every other Monday for mowing and weeding between the hours of 10 AM and 2 PM. If this schedule does not work for your schedule, please let me know and we can make alternate arrangements.

Please water the indoor plants. Underwatering is preferred to overwatering. I typically give a little every Sunday. The soil should completely dry out between waterings.

Fig tree: This little tree may need a little more TLC. I will fertilize it on my bi-weekly visits but please give it a little water each week.

Garbage/Recycling:

Pick up is on Monday morning. I will swing by on Sunday evening to put the cans out.

There is a small gray can that holds wood shavings. To keep the cans as smell-free as possible, please dump a handful of wood shavings provided into the GREENWASTE bin when adding food waste. This helps neutralize the smell and dry the compost until pickup.

Please do not wash cars in the driveway.
