Summary: I really didn't want to rate this facility as I didn't use it but kept getting emails from VRBO to rate the stay so here is my story: I booked and paid for the house a year earlier for the week of the balloon fiesta in 2022 ( the 50th ). Somehow the house became double booked but wasn't notified until I attempted the check-in. I was really mad. Initially I couldn't even speak to the owner. With limited options because the entire city is overpriced because of all the people in town for the event, I am glad I had lots of other balloon pilot friends who worked with me and everyone in the house had beds to sleep in. After I had made these alternative sleeping arrangements the owner did reach out and convey her sincere apology about the misunderstanding and offered as much room as she could give so that our group and I wasn't sleeping in our cars, but after driving 1600 miles to get there to find the house DOUBLE BOOKED I honestly just had a bad taste in my mouth for this home owner. She did cancel the reservation right away so I could get my money back as soon as possible and did make sure I wasn't out any money if it wasn't all refundable, she even offered her place in the future at little to no cost. It tells me it really was an honest mistake, but it is still a sore subject.
