The Bear’s Cave is the place to go to get back to nature without sacrificing the comfort of a warm, cozy retreat. This spacious 3-bedroom, 31/2-bathroom home nestled in the trees next to a bubbling mountain creek. The large deck with hot tub offers a place to relax in the quiet after a great day of skiing or hiking while waiting for dinner to cook on the gas grill. For the more adventurous, explore the great outdoors never having to leave your vacation rental property with hiking trails around the home. As night falls, everyone will want to gather around the outdoor fire pit to delight in the mountain night skies and maybe a have few old-fashioned S’mores made over an open fire.
Inside the entire family will enjoy this home’s open living space with beautiful large stone gas fireplace. The cooks in the family will appreciate the ample modern kitchen with its granite counter tops, complete with windows that look out over the lush grounds and the babbling creek. Or spend time watching the giant flat screen satellite TV in “The Man Cave” downstairs or surfing the net via Wi-Fi. The Bear’s Cave offers plenty of room for everyone to spread out whether it is for a quiet moment with a cup of coffee on the covered front porch or a nap on the comfy leather sofa in front of the gas fireplace in the living room. When the day is done everyone will sleep well. The upper floor has a queen suite with master shower bathroom. An additional queen bedroom and a third bedroom with two twin beds, along with a full bathroom with tub/shower combo in between complete the upper level. Full and queen-size pull-out sofas are available in the game room for added sleeping space along with a full bathroom with shower only. With 3 full bathrooms and a half bath, getting ready to go out fora day of sightseeing will be a breeze.

There is so much to do around this vacation home all year-round. The Bear’s Cave is located mere minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway making it a perfect location for exploring the Smoky Mountains. Enjoy a day of shopping the local boutiques and craft shops or dining at the local cuisine in historic downtown Waynesville less than 15 minutes away. The museum of the Cherokee Indian is about 30 minutes away. While in Cherokee try your hand at Harrah’s Casino. Also located within a 15 minute drive are local micro-breweries, Cataloochee Ski Area, Tube World (snow tubing), Wheels Through Time (historic motorcycle museum, as featured on History Channels "American Pickers"), Ingles and Publix grocery stores, Walmart, and many great restaurants. Within 30 minutes are Asheville and the Biltmore Estates & Winery, Smoky Mountain National Park, Pisgah National Forest, several golf courses, Bryson City (home of the Smoky Mountain Railway and “Polar Express" during the Christmas Holiday), Transylvania County (home of the most waterfalls in the United States), and over 100 Antique Shops.
Within 45 minutes is Hendersonville where you can visit Sierra Nevada Brewery (with enormous dining Tap Room), gem mining, white water rafting, zip-lining and much more. Just about an hour’s drive away you can get to Gatlinburg, TN and Pigeon Forge (home of Dollywood). The approach to this property is steep.
