Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The view from the location was excellent. Clean room upon arrival. The food, although pricey, was tasteful and didn’t just seem heated up in a microwave.

Negative: For starters, I highly recommend letting guests know about the parking fee through the booking process. No it did not break us. But we have stayed at 4 other hotels on the same historic nature trail, all of which are walking proximity to downtown, and it was free parking. This establishment is further away with no sidewalks to access downtown yet you charge for parking. Yes there is a free trolley which still runs to the before mentioned hotels with free parking. More aggravating that it was not know before booking. Also, the establishment should hold pet owners more accountable for the fur friends. Being on vacation and constantly hearing barking from the room next to yours is disheartening. Maybe keeping pet friendly rooms on separate floors might help. At the very least, there should be someone to knock on those doors and let them know it’s not acceptable or to find other arraignments if they can’t keep their pet behaving.

Summary: We loved the view and enjoyed the aesthetics of the building. Based on price, location, and service we aren’t convinced
