Come see why the Granite View Lodge was named one of the state's 18 best cool mountain getaways by AZ magazine! The home site has tall pines but is only about 9 miles west of the historic downtown Courthouse Square and Whiskey Row.

The upstairs ground level floor features a large full-service kitchen that is open to the great room, dining room and nook with seating for 10. A signature 'Mexican Noche' tumbled stone gas fireplace is the centerpiece of the entertainment center bookcase.
French doors lead out to a large deck with a sitting area and beautiful views. A laundry room with a family sized washer and dryer is near the kitchen. The master suite features French doors out to the deck sitting area with views of Granite and Bill Williams Mountains. The master closet is the size of a bedroom. The bath area has double vanities, a Roman styled tiled tub and a large shower with twin shower heads.

Why the Owner Chose Prescott: Although Arizona offers several high country vacation locales, we feel that Prescott has the most to offer. Our home is an hour to two-hour drive from most areas of Phoenix and about 10 minutes from historic downtown Prescott. The town was established in the mid-1800's, served as the state capital for a while and is rich in history. Former residents include the Earp brothers, Doc Holiday and Big Nose Kate who all went on to find fame in Tombstone Arizona. With lots of great restaurants, casinos, and bars featuring live entertainment along the famed 'Whiskey Row' the opportunity to stay out to the 'wee hours' is available on any given night. Daytime activities include golf, fishing, hiking, shopping, and sightseeing. Prescott hosts an annual Rodeo and Arts and Crafts shows are frequently held around the Courthouse Square.

The Unique Benefits of this Custom Home: The Lodge is situated on 1.5 acres in the Sierra Prieta Mountain Range, at an elevation of approximately 6300 feet, and backs up to the National Forest. Views from the twin decks include Granite Mountain and Bill Williams Mountain. The home has a kitchen, nook, dining, and living areas all open in one large room with vaulted ceilings, skylights, and a new flat-screen TV. Downstairs features another large room that includes a wet bar, flat-screen TV, stereo, board games, foosball, and pool tables. Both the top and second floors offer easy access to the spacious decks. With two large master suites and two queen bedrooms, there is plenty of room. Several hiking trails are nearby in the National Forest, and yet you don't have to negotiate any dusty, rutted or muddy dirt roads to get to the Lodge!

Property Rules - This vacation rental is in a neighborhood with permanent residents. Your right to use this privately owned home is conditioned on not disturbing the neighborhood. If we receive any complaints regarding noise, activities, or trespassing that disturb neighbors you may be asked to leave and forfeit all your money and deposit. Loud outside noise or music is highly discouraged and after 10 pm is prohibited. Your party size can change but you must let us know of any extra guests staying. We require a signed contract after confirming your reservation. Please be aware before you make your reservation that Arizona state law prohibits vacation rentals in residential areas from hosting parties, events, weddings or large gatherings of any type. Our home is NOT for this type of use. This is a NO SMOKING home.

Summary: Our Family of 8 adults and small children stayed here for a fun getaway from the heat. The house did not disappoint. It was beautiful and plenty of room. The views were amazing and weather was great. Short drive to town which has local craft fare and so many great places. We will def be back. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
