Summary: I've been to México many times. This was the first I've had a negative experience. The hotel was under construction. Noone mentioned that when i called. If you wanted to use the pool and jacuzzi, you had to walk through the restaurant. That was very uncomfortable so we didn't use the amenity. We had several terrible experiences with the restaurant. I would not recommend eating there at all, especially room service, horrible. I'll give one example otherwise, this will be too long. The first night we were there, we ordered room service because we were exhausted from our travels. I ordered the ribeye, asparagus, and potatoes. I asked for it to be cooked medium. When it came, it was rare. I wouldn't even call it rare tbh. I can actually deal with rare, it doesn't bother me. This ribeye was straight up raw. I'm talking MAYBE on the pan just a few seconds on each side. We called, they came up and picked up the steak on the plate, took it back to the kitchen, cooked same steak, and brought back upstairs to us, all while walking through the hotel uncovered. I have never experienced anything like it. My husband, who is not a Spanish speaker, tried to go downstairs to let the guy in charge know what had just happened. If you don't speak spainish, this is not the hotel for you. I'm Latina so I'm fluent in spanish so it's no big deal for me, but when I called the hotel before booking, I had asked if it was English friendly in consideration for my husband. They said yes. It is not!
