Positive: Panzano is a sweet little town on a ridgetop, and this hotel is right in the middle of it all. If you have a car, there's good, free municipal parking a few hundred steps away. Our room was spacious and had a great view of the valley on the north side of the town. The hotel has lots of common space where you can sit and read and chat. We were there in March when it was still chilly out, but in warmer weather the inviting outdoor spaces look like they'd be terrific. Breakfast was plentiful and good, and the staff was helpful.

Negative: There's no elevator and our room was up two flights of stairs, so if you're elderly and have problems carrying your bags you might ask about being on a lower floor.
